We make our sculptural candles with a natural soy wax blend and a high quality cotton wick.
Each candle is unique in the way it burns.
Read our tips below on how to make the most of your MELT candle experience.
FIRST BURN
Before lighting your candle, place it on a flat tray, dish or candle plate that will collect any wax that may drip while burning.
Let the candle burn for at least 1 hour or so that the wax pool reaches the edge of the candle.
Light your candle in a well-ventilated safe space, clear of flowers, fabric and other flammable objects.
Monitor the candle regularly.
Always remember to blow your candle out when you leave the room.
ONGOING USE
To enjoy your candles safely and to provide a better burning performance, we recommend:
Trim the wick to 6mm tall before you light your candle each time to keep the wax clean and burning nicely.
If the flame gets too high, extinguish the flame, let the candle cool down, trim the wick, and relight.
We recommend that you burn the candle for no more than 3 hours at a time.
When not in use, place your candle away from direct sunlight and nearby heat sources.
CANDLE SAFETY
Keep your candles out of reach from children and pets.
Always use a candle-holder. The holder should be heat resistant, sturdy, and large enough to contain any drips or melted wax.
Never touch or move a burning candle or container candle when the wax is liquid.
Place burning candles at least 10cm apart from one another.
Never use a candle as a night light.
